Use the IPICK guide to help you select a 'Good Fit Book'.  This great poster from Jade's Blog helps explain it clearly.  Go through each step or each letter of IPICK to make a good choice.

You need to select a different book for a different purpose or task.  Remember that you wouldn't wear gumboots to dance ballet in or even to go to the movies.  It is the same with a book.  You would not read a fiction picture book to find out about dinosaur facts.
